Minolta have an enviable lens pedigree and this standard lens is no exception. All metal, solid construction with very smooth focus action. Minolta build quality stands out with this lens which is already of several decades vintage - produced in the early 70s - and will function perfectly for many more. Close focus at 45cm giving plenty of scope for macro use. The large metal lens hood (included) is recommended. Although hand held, shots are generally sharp, firm support for critical macro will ensure the perfect shot.
