One of Nikon's greats. Built tough to stand pro work. It won't let you down. The de focus control mechanism allows the out of focus area, called 'bokeh' to be in front of the frame subject or behind. The frame subject remains tack sharp. Leave the defocus control at 0 and you have a sharp 105mm  portrait lens with 0.9 metre close focus. It is a large heavy lens so best suited to pro bodies such as D700, 800, D3X etc, but can be used with any Nikon F mount or via adapter with Sony E-mount. Includes both lens caps.
